Flexible Enough to Use in a Variety of Locations
Unlike conventional core (iron core coil) types, the 9667 FLEXIBLE CLAMP ON SENSOR is of the Rogovski (hollow core coil) type, which allows the unit to be light and flexible, with no heat built-up in the sensor even when measuring large currents. The sensor can be used to measure large cables of up to 254mm in diameter, and high current of up to 5000A AC. In addition, the flexible 9667 can even measure embedded wiring that is difficult to clamp with a thick, stiff core type sensor. The measurement range can be switched between 500A AC and 5000A AC, and the voltage output is 500mV AC f.s. Either four alkaline batteries (for seven days or more of continuous operation) or an AC adapter can be used for the power supply. The 9667 also carries the CE mark and is safety rated for CAT III 1000 V.
Suitable for Use as a Sensor for Power Meters and Recorders
The 9667 FLEXIBLE CLAMP ON SENSOR offers excellent phase and amplitude frequency characteristics [10Hz to 20kHz (± 3dB)]. When connected directly to a power supply voltage input power meter or recorder, the 9667 demonstrates its capabilities in large current analysis at up to 5000 A AC. For example, the sensor can be used in conjunction with the HIOKI 3196 POWER QUALITY ANALYZER to monitor power lines for abnormalities such as harmonic waves or momentary power outages, and the can also be used with the HIOKI 8800 MEMORY HiCORDER series to monitor power current waveforms.
